Crocus (Crocus) is a genus of perennial flowers of Iridaceae family (Iridaceae). Common are the Eastern Mediterranean to Central Asia. The stem is partially hidden under the ground and during flowering has several sharp, green leaflets. There are species with yellow and those with light blue or violet colors. There are variations of blue, purple and orange hues. Some species are spring and others - with autumn blooms.
