Atsidanterata native country, known as stellar or Abyssinian gladiolus is Ethiopia. Species are known Acidanthera bicolor and its variety Murielae.

Atsidanterata fragrant flowering is suitable for winter garden bulb.
The leaves are xiphoid, prihlupvashti to the beginning. Flowers are on long foliate stalk. They are its star, white or purple with a distinctive chocolate-brown stain in the middle.
Bulbs in the spring to pot two-thirds loam and one third soil and plenty of sand. Small bulbs are separated and planted individually.
Like all bulbs, gladiolus stellar pour scarce. But after dry leaves are no longer irrigated, the soil is kept dry during the winter and cool until it is time the bulbs to be grafted. Then gradually increase watering.


Abyssinian gladiolus needs sunny location and constantly seeks fresh air. The optimum temperature for cultivation in summer is 20 C and in winter it is -10 C.
For best effect planted in groups. In the summer kept outside. Harvested in winter garden before the frost. Bloom during late autumn (September - November).
