Small ground plants such as bromeliite. It is best to be kept in a glass container. There is great variety - green strips, strips of green, red, brown and yellow. The size of the leaves is 10 cm (K. bivitatus) to 37 cm (K. fosterianus). Most vividly colored and difficult growing species is K. bromelioides Tricolor.
Origin - Brazil. Kriptantusat plant is a long heart-order outlets, which are distributed over and can cover large surfaces.
Light: from sun to full polusyanka.
Temperature: around 20 degrees.
Water: scarce watering.
Depending on the color of the leaves, kriptantusat loves light to polusenchesto place. But the important thing is to maintain uniform heat and humidity. The temperature should be between 20 and 25 degrees and in winter not less than 18. Therefore a good idea to grow this plant in color or composition window in a bottle.
Soil: rich in nutrients, loose, high in humus. Ideal for irrigation water is warm rain as it is rich in limestone.
Moderate fertilization, during the summer every 2-3 weeks. Spray the leaves often.
Propagation: Propagation: by cuttings at a uniform side heat and temperature around 25 C. To make rooting more quickly, cover with a branch of a glass or jar.
