Is also known as Monkey robin. Extremely rare orchid, its height of 45 cm from the Orchidaceae family, genus orchis. Its name comes from the shape of the flower, resembling a man or monkey. There are mostly in the wild.
The species is widespread throughout Southern and Western Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa. Meeting in Bulgaria, mainly in the Middle Balkan. This is a legally protected plant in the red book. The leaves begin to appear in April. A bloom in May. To zatsafti one bulb, which requires at least 7 years.
Like other representatives of this kind each plant has two oval tubers, which received the Greek name - robin, which translates as testicle.
The color is white or pale pink. Each flower has the shape of a man's head with a hat, smiling face, eyes, hands, legs and mauve or lilac spots in cells. Are in dark purple paws and tail of the monkey.
