Among fans gardeners are known several types. In our most frequently occurs Oxalis deppei, whose homeland is Mexico. This kind of looks like a large four-leaved clovers and blossom in red. Other popular types are: South African Oxalis bowieana, which blooms in summer and spring, pink-red flowers; Oxalis carnosa, from Chile and Peru, which gives yellow spring flowers, and Oxalis regnelli, which originates from South America and blooms almost year round with white flowers that resemble scissors to cut the top leaves of the trefoil.

Different species and varieties differ in shape and color of the leaves. Common are cyanide (Royal clover), in bright or dark green, very large, medium or small, and so on.
Individual varieties bloom at different times. For example, Oxalis deppei (Four Leaf Clover) blooms in October-December, and Oxalis regnellii (crab) July-August.
